2016 has truly been an exciting year for us, our customers, and our partners. Some notable milestones
include: |
The recent completion of our merger with Tyco marked a historic turning point for both our companies. Together we aim to bring smarter and more sustainable solutions to our customers. With the integration, we now offer the best-in-class products, technologies and service capabilities across controls, fire, security, HVAC and energy storage under one roof, to serve the full spectrum of end markets. |
This follows our joint venture with Hitachi Appliances, Inc. to establish Johnson Controls – Hitachi Air Conditioning, which taps into the expertise of world-class leaders in the industry with rich 100-year histories, driving greater innovation and excellence. Our customers can now choose from the most diverse product portfolio in the air conditioning industry. |
We have marked several industry firsts, such as the launch of Metasys®8.0, the world’s smartest
building automation software that connects multiple systems including HVAC, lighting, security and
protection systems to make buildings smarter and more energy efficient. We also unveiled the World’s First Universal Actuator, a HVAC control with automatic signal detection and universal input that allows contractors and distributors to significantly reduce their inventory. |
In addition, we introduced our Service Transformation Program that leverages cloud-based field mobility productivity tools to provide technicians with better access to technical information and building insights, improving productivity and reducing maintenance and repair costs for customers. |
At the heart of all the transformative changes at Johnson Controls lies our desire to serve our customers better, and we are grateful for your continued confidence in our ability to meet your expectations. We look forward to many more years of successful partnership. |

Analytics software forms the very foundation of a smart building and allows
facility managers to pull critical information together to find and fix problems
faster and more efficiently. Fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) analytics
utilize building data to pinpoint equipment problems without the need for
manual inspection, saving time and effort. It can also identify small anomalies
failures in the long run. In addition, benchmarking analytics enable facility
managers to compare the performance of a building to other buildings or to its
own historical performance, transforming how decisions are made, resources
are allocated and buildings are operated. |
