This course includes hands-on activities with boilers, chillers, air handlers and other operating equipment from a variety of manufacturers.  Participants gain an understanding of operating principles and the proper use of test instruments to verify equipment performance.

Fundamentals of Control Strategies (Monday – Friday @ Noon)

Participants in this course will analyze a number of HVAC systems and their associated controls, including central plant, air and water distribution and terminal systems. The strategies learned will apply to any controls system type or manufacturer.

Week 3

FX MSTP Field Controller Engineering (Monday – Friday @ Noon)

Participants will receive an overview of the FX MSTP field controller system, create programs from standard tree systems using the Programming Controller and Commissioning tool.  They will then connect to Bluetooth and Zigbee connections and download code into the controllers after setting up the hardware and software to communicate properly.

Cost and Location Summary
Cost will be $5,800 per person for this three-week course. This does not include travel or lodging expenses for students; these will be paid by company sending student to class. We need at least eight individuals enrolled in order to conduct the class.
Students will use iPads (supplied at the class) for note-taking and doing labs. At the end of class, notes will be transferred to USB drives and they will leave with their material and notes.
